Hope Church News

Dear Hope Church family

Thank you for praying for our Leadership team meeting on Wednesday. Here is an update from Sam.

Moving to the Community Hub

Rob Fellowes informs us that things have moved forward on transferring the Hub over to local council ownership.  Our local MP, Calum Miller, was there last week to oversee part of the process.  Although we still don’t yet have a firm date, we are assured the paperwork only has a couple of steps to go before it is signed off, after which we will be able to move in!  We are working on a permanent banner to hang outside and advertise the presence of Hope Church.  Please keep praying that the transfer will be completed quickly!

Carol Service –  14 December at 5pm

We are going to have community carols on the green in front of Gagle Brook School, followed by mulled wine and mince pies (in the Hub).

Eco Church

Eco Church is an initiative to help churches take practical action on caring for God’s earth, providing a way to celebrate what they are doing and decide on future action.  This is based on completing an online survey for your church.  It fits closely with Hope Church’s value of caring for God’s creation, so we are thinking and praying about whether to apply for an award.  Please do let one of the leadership team know if you would be interested in being involved.
